Update Field / Custom Field Value

With this workflow post-function, you can update the value of a field.


To add 'Update Field / Custom Field Value Postfunction' to a transition: 

  1. Click Edit for the workflow that has the transition you wish to add the post-function on.
  2. In the Workflow Designer, select the transition.
  3. Click on Postfunction in the properties panel.
  4. Click on Add postfunction.
  5. Select Update Field / Custom Field Value Postfunction from the list of postfunctions.
  6. Click on Add to add the postfunction on the transition.
  7. Fill the form shown below and press 'Add' button.


Fields

Custom Field – The source field which you want update the value.
Value – The final value you want to update.

User – The user who will be used to update the field

You can also type some variables to set a dynamic value:

  • {currentDate}
  • {reporter}
  • {assignee}
  • {clear}
